Well done!
I’m really impressed with this podcast. It’s a fascinating story and so well told. I would’ve given it 5 stars if not for the short episodes!

Route 29
I am really picky about podcasts and don’t typically go for things with shorter episodes however I really liked this one. It was easy to listen to and I binged it while housecleaning. I really appreciate that this was a “normal” person telling us about something that interested them instead of some huge production. I wish my hobbies were this cool!

Keep it going!!!
I really enjoyed your podcast and truly hope you continue!!!

Stick with it! Listen to all.
I listen to lots of True Crime podcasts. I just finished listening to this from beginning to end. So many negative comments & ratings here. Yes, he’s not an experienced podcaster. Yes, he recaps. Yes, he has short episodes. Yes, he refers to “my wife” often. I think the fact that this case has gotten new attention is wonderful! The podcast evolves over time. I love the fact that this is a husband/wife duo. I say great job! I just subscribed to Why So Cold and look forward to following you on your podcasting journey. 5⭐️ from me!

I’ve listened since the beginning
Although it might seem slow...it’s really well put together for a first time podcast imo!

Good podcast but could be better
This podcast is good The gentlemen has a good voice But I feel like it can be better But don’t give up I think this podcast can be popular Good up the great work

Like Re-Living The Past
I moved from Stafford to Orange County in 1997, near where this happened. I lived thru this horror. The episode mentioning Silva/Lisk murders brought me to shivers, I new the Silva family very well during that time. I hope this can be solved for everyone involved.

I’ve binge listened to this podcast in 2 days!
I absolutely commend you for what you are trying to do. I think you’re really on to something with that auto place and the 30 day tags. I’m glad you are feeling better and really looking forward to season 2! Great job! Let’s find this SOB!

Love this
I have listened to countless podcasts, and I got to say -I am so glad I found this one. Job well done folks.

Love it
Great job!! Kudos for shedding light and putting pressure on authority used to properly address crimes targeting women in a small regional. If those with criticisms around professionality think they can do better…then go for it . Hoping you will produce more!

Great podcast!
I live in the Fredericksburg area & had no idea about this. Love this podcast. Totally hooked!!

Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you sooo much for covering Alicia’s case. I think this and the other route 29 and colonial parkway Murders are solvable. It’s just a matter of getting the right break for law enforcement or having the right person who knows something come forward. Podcasts like yours that can get the information out to lots of people are critical. Thank you for taking the time and putting up with all the criticism as well. I think those who have never tried podcasting should keep their overly critical opinions to themselves. Your podcast comes across as heartfelt and sincere. That is the most important aspect of anything you do in life. Thanks again for your hard work and dedication.

He’s still out there
I’ve been researching the Route 29 stalker for about a week now, so I am clearly no expert but I have noticed a few particular trends that the stalker has, and I think it could be beneficial to this podcast. This podcast is detailing events that took place from 2014 to now, and it’s terrifying to think girls are being abducted by a serial stalker/murderer. I think he is a student at one of the colleges who is holding a deep grudge against younger women.

Awesome
I really like this podcast. I like the narrator’s voice. It’s very soothing. The podcast is very informative and contains a lot of mystery. Great job.

Interesting!
I really enjoy this podcast. It is kinda weird they are super short, but I like it. It’s an interesting topic I was not aware of!

Excellent
Short episodes, but the production quality and investigation are top notch.

Decent
Decent podcast, but too much wasted time. We don’t need to hear all the ringtones, answering machine messages, missed calls and insignificant conversations. Cut out the fat, get to the point. This could definitely be a very good podcast, but needs some adjustments. In my humble opinion.

Binged
I binged this podcast to catch up! Hope it stays edgy.

VA Killer
I grew up in Lynchburg, and I've been convinced that there is / was a serial killer in the area for years.Cool to see someone else taking an closer look!

Gotta Stop The Monsters
Thanks to your wife for encouraging your doing a podcast. I’m convinced that citizens networking and sharing info can put a stop to a lot of these monsters. If law enforcement can’t arrest them maybe we can educate ourselves enough to at least slow down their carnage. Thanks again for your dedication.

Great Listen - Too Many Ads
This is a great podcast! Easy listen but the episodes are very short and there are adds to start and end each one that take up a huge chunk in time. Glad he’s putting this story out there!

Addicting
Great podcast from a fellow Lynchburgian! Definitely would LOVE to have longer episodes. I really enjoy the episodes where Woody asks plausible questions about the case out loud or “brainstorming” out loud. Gets your wheels spinning. 😉 great job Woody!

Thank you
Thank you so much for covering this case and series of cases. I have asked other podcasters to look into this but y’all are the first I have seen to take a serious look. I have only listened to the first episode so far but I am looking forward to any new information or leads you might uncover. I think a crowd sourced revisit to the case, reaching out to possible witnesses in a way only a podcast can effectively do could break something open. Please keep it up! Alicia and the other victims and potential victims need a hero like you to bring them justice.

Intriguing but...
You spend so much time out of such short episodes on a repetitive intro. The current episode didn't start until 4 minutes into a 22 minute episode.

Awesome!
Really enjoying this podcast. I’m a Nelson County native and Route 29 is the hub for transportation to Lynchburg or Charlottesville, or really anywhere for that matter. I was young when these events happened, but with the disappearances in Charlottesville and Alexis Murphy (my hometown), this podcast really hits home and can’t imagine the fear people were feeling during this time. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Woody when we worked for the same organization and knew he was a talented guy, but man, he and his wife are doing a phenomenal job with this podcast. I really wish the episodes were longer though. Sometimes I feel as if I hear more music than the story/dialogue (don’t get me wrong, the music sets/reflects the mood for the podcast).

Great show
I wish the episodes were a bit longer. I have shared the podcast on other podcast group forums on FB!

Love it as well
I love the podcast just need longer episodes

Love it
I really really love this podcast but I wish the episodes were a bit longer.

I’m HOOKED
I’m obsessed with cold cases. I absolutely loved “Up and Vanished” and “Serial” and this is my new favorite. I’ve listed to every episode (more than once) and each time I can’t wait for the next one. Great job on this podcast!

Great podcast
Good work, Woody! Really enjoy this podcast and the level of digging and thread/pulling Woody does to in this podcast.
